Crystal Bowersox and Diabetes. "It's All About Your Attitude"

"1 Happy Diabetic" gives a video Shout-out to American Idol Season 9's Crystal Bowersox.

Crystal, a type 1 Diabetic, is not the first Idol contestant to have to manage this difficult disease while dealing with the grueling practice and performance schedule of American Idol. Season 5 competitor Elliott Yamin was diagnosed with type I diabetes at the age of 16 and wears an insulin pump to help him manage his diabetes. Judge Randy Jackson stated in a February 2008 television commercial that he has type 2 diabetes.
